Final Get Out the Vote Efforts in New Hampshire
by Ron Ault

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Fraternal greetings from cold, windy, New Hampshire. We are getting ready for our final GOTV event  today at 2:30 pm with a visibility event at the shipyard front gate in this toss up, battleground state.  I have been here on the ground since October 22nd working with our Metal Trades folks and the New Hampshire AFL-CIO. Much impressed with their operations, professionalism and their dedication. At the end of the day, I can truthfully say we left it all out on the field- no stone unturned. No matter what the outcome Labor has had our shoulders to the wheel and I am proud to be a small part of it.

Saturday, we had a Labor to Labor walk in Rochester, NH sponsored by the Building Trades that was a huge event and had a super turn out- yesterday, we started knocking on doors at 10 a.m. and finished up last evening at 4:30 pm- my partner and I knocked on 68 doors and talked to 53 households in Portsmouth, NH.  We only had one Romney supporter...and even he said he would vote for some of the underneath Democrats on the ticket- While the polls keep saying this is a tie and that it could go either way, I believe we will be successful and that it will be by a decent margin. There are just too many smart people out there that I have talked to that really "get it!"

It has been a long, tough haul, with billionaires spending obscene amounts of money in every race trying to buy this election.  No one actually knows how many billions have been spent or is yet to be spent, but suffice it to say this has never been done in any other general election.  I am confident that America is not as gullible as the Right Wing believes they are and that our "boots on the ground" will make the difference in this election.  I want to thank you all for all your hard work and dedication. You rarely ever get a thank you for what you do, but here is mine- Thank You.

In Solidarity,
Ron Ault
